Public curiosity of CBD has been rising for the past 10 years. Many people have been using CBD to regulate stress and mood, treat insomnia, fight inflammation and more. CBD is sold in the United States in many forms including- topical cream, oral capsule, and sublingual drops.
At mother•s dose, we wanted to create a whole new experience with CBD products. A suppository is a dosage form used to deliver medications by inserting into the body, where it can dissolve or melt to exert local or systemic effects. Mother•s doses suppositories may be used vaginally or rectally, depending on the person and what they are trying to achieve.
Suppositories deliver many types of medications, but one of the primary reasons why mother•s dose was founded was to help those suffering from pain and could not take medications for pain by mouth. This commonly happens to those being treated with chemotherapy and the side effect they experience known as chemo-induced nausea. We wanted to help deliver a high quality, full spectrum CBD product through the vaginal or rectal route to help with their symptoms. Suppositories, especially vaginal suppositories, have a high bioavailability, which means that the systemic absorption of the active ingredient is high and the effects of the CBD last longer in the body.
